I made this tutorial with PSP 8

 

 

 

Diamonds´s  Zip File what includes the mask and the Selection Files here

 

1.

Open your Image you want to use, and change the size so that

your high is 300 pix

Choose 2 Colours from your image a light and a darker colour.

With Shift and D make a copy from your image, we will need later.

2.

Resize your Copy of the image so the high is 200 pix

Open a new Image 400 X 400 with a transparent Background.

This tutorial has a view Layers - best is to give the layers name´s

so you dont get confused.

3.

Fill your empty Canvas with your light colour

Rename this layer background

Layers - New Raster Layer - click on Gradient - Foreground Background

with the following settings

fill the Layer with the Gradient.

Layers - Load Save Mask from Disk - find the Mask from the

Zip File - m55 k

Layers - Delete - in the next Window click Yes

Layers - Merge - Merge Group.

Rename this Layer Mask

Image - Mirror - Image Flip

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Activate your 200 pix image - Edit - Copy -

back to your working area - past as new Layer.

Move your Image with your mover tool like my screencopy

rename this layer - 200-1

Effects 3D Effects Dropshadow

Layers - duplicate - Rename the duplicated layer mosaic

Layers - Arrange - Move down

Effects - Texture Effects - Mosaic Antique

Activate your Raster Layer 2 - and move it a little bit up and to the left

Activate your layer 200-1

Layers - New Raster Layer - Selections - Load from Disk

Load Selection Diamonds 2

fill the Selection with your Gradient.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Selections - Select None -

rename this layer - border-buttom

Layers - Arrange - Move down - repeat Move Down

Layers - New Rasterlayer -

Selections - Load - Load Selections from Disc

Load Diamonds 1 - fill with your Gradient

Repeat the Drops Shadow from #11

Selections - Select None -

Rename this layer border-left

 Layers - Move Down - repeat - Layers - move down.

Layers - New Raster Layer - Load Selections from Disc

Load Diamonds 3 - fill with your light Colour

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Selections - Select None

Rename this layer - border-left-small

14.

Layers - duplicate - Rename this Layer - border-name - Layers - Arrange move up

Image - Rotate - Free Rotate -

Take your mover tool and move this layer down  on it´s place

your Layers should be arranged like this now

16.

Activate your image with the high 300 pix

Edit - copy - back to your working area -

Edit paste as a new Layer.

Move this Layer down under your Mask Layer

Move this Layer with your mover tool - exactly next to the

Border on the left site - see my image on top

Change the Opacity of this layer to lumincace

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow - same settings we used under #13

You can save your image now and write your name under it

or you keep on going with the next step.

18.

If your Layers are all arranged right -

see my imagage on top of the tutorial

you can go to Layers - Merge - Merge visible

Image - Resize - 350 pix - all Layers checked

Effects - 3D Effects - Buttonize - with the following settings

for the colour I used my dark colour.

Now you can write your Name on your Tag -

use the same Drop Shadow we used on step #6
